Reception

As you walk into Kidz Kaboom our reception provides an environment that you will find comforting, professional, welcoming and warming with plenty of seating area to wait for your little ones.

You will be greeted every morning by one of our staff members who are very efficient, competent but also fun and vibrant. They will have time to engage with you about anything that you wish to discuss.

All of our nursery rooms are large and spacious, allowing children to play freely with easy access to all resources. Our rooms have been carefully planned in order to encourage independence and curiosity.

Baby room

Our baby room is a home from home environment. Thoughtfully curated to stimulate very young minds, it promotes awe and wonder as children begin to explore the world around them. A wonderfully calm and relaxing room for our babies, with space to crawl and explore, new sights and sounds to stimulate the senses, and a cosy corner to cuddle in. Being in our baby room offers under 2s the perfect place to begin their nursery journey.

Joeys room

Joeys room invites our inquisitive and enthusiastic children to join in with the carefully planned and organised educator-led activities throughout the day. There is real focus on providing lots of physical adventures as well as opportunities for quiet time, creative time and role play – where children can guide their own play based on their interests.

The children have access to a wide variety of toys and activities to promote the development of many skills appropriate to their needs. The room is spacious and bright with a wide variety of activities for the children.

Koalas room

We give them choices and opportunities to thrive and extend and develop skills and knowledge and an understanding of the Pre-school curriculum. In Pre-school we feel it important to give the children a blend of informal child initiated experiences, balanced with some more carefully planned structured activities geared to enhance their learning at the appropriate level. We pride ourselves in preparing the children for their next step to big school. The children are actively encouraged to be independent and have free access to toys and equipment for them to be able to explore freely in their learning environment. The emphasis is on ‘Learning Through Play’. By giving them free access to these things they learn independence and responsibility and take ownership of their achievements.

Designated messy play room

Messy Play is a style of play in which children get to take the lead, explore and learn with their hands, and experience a wide variety of textures and materials. It focuses on play-based learning and allows children to learn at their own speed. Messy Play helps build fine motor control, problem-solving skills, foundational math and science concepts, language and vocabulary, social-emotional skills, and so much more! Messy play and sensory play support your little one’s cognitive development – the ways they think, explore and figure things out. It offers your child a chance to figure things out for themselves! Every time they solve a problem, they reinforce that ability and build self-confidence. Messy play also offers a fun chance for kids to learn cause and effect through observation and hands-on experience. By exploring the physical materials, small children develop spatial awareness too.

Sensory room

Our sensory room is designed to be a safe space to help those sensory needs. We use it to stimulate or calm the senses: sight, touch and hearing. Providing a space for children with social integration disorder, autism and other special educational needs to explore and develop their sensory skills. Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity. It helps to build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and motor skills.         Children will get an unrestrained, non-threatening space where they can explore at their own leisure. This freedom lets their key worker see what calms them, rouses them and what they do or don’t like.

Beach room

Not every child gets to experience what its like to go to the beach, so here at Kidz Kaboom we have created a large sand pit so that every child knows what it feels like to enjoy making sand castles.
